- Design and maintain secure, resilient, and scalable network architectures across cloud and hybrid environments. - Configure and manage networking components such as VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPNs, and peering connections. - Ensure network security and compliance, including IAM, policies, and zero-trust networking principles. - Troubleshoot and optimize network performance (latency, throughput, fault tolerance). - Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments. - Deploy and manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm) with secure networking practices. - Automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure and networks using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). - Collaborate with software engineers to integrate networking and DevOps best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps - Strong expertise in networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPNs, firewalls, routing, load balancing, and traffic management. - Hands-on experience configuring cloud networking services (AWS VPC, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Azure VNets, GCP VPC, etc.). - Proven experience with container orchestration and networking: Kubernetes (CNI, ingress, service mesh) and Docker Swarm (overlay networks, services, ingress routing). - Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar). - Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent). - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar). - Solid understanding of security best practices in network design and implementation. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems and networks.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Certifications in networking or cloud (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking, Cisco CCNP/CCIE). - Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud connectivity. - Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul) and microservices communication patterns. - Exposure to compliance standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR) and secure network design. - Experience mentoring engineers or leading projects with a networking focus.
