đ Join Rilemo â Empowering Diagnostics for Anyone, Anywhere
Rilemo is a MedTech startup building a portable diagnostic imaging device that works wherever the patient is, from ambulances to home care. By integrating advanced non ionising electromagnetic imaging and AI, we aim to radically decentralize diagnostics and bring high-quality medical imaging beyond the hospital walls. Our mission is to make diagnosis more timely, inclusive, and accessible for all.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated technical person to join our team and contribute to the development of our industrialized device, ready for the clinical tests.

Location: Hybrid (Milan-based)
Type:Full-time Position
Starting: ASAP
Youâll work closely with the CTO
đŻ What we are looking for
We're looking for a person passionate about working at the intersection of Radio Frequency circuits, FPGA programming, and PCB design for medical applications. You're excited about developing cutting-edge microwave imaging circuits to empower decentralized healthcare, are comfortable with PCB design, circuit simulations, high end laboratory equipment, and ready to contribute to a dynamic, collaborative, and multidisciplinary startup environment.
đ§Â Responsibilities
* Develop radar  and tomography medical microwave imaging systems with  FPGAs. Implementing state of the art, real time imaging algorithms and Neural Networks, both by working with existing code in the digital electronics domain, and by writing novel IP cores; * Design of Printed Circuit Boards  including high frequency FPGA  and microcontrollers to capture novel medical images with the aid of numerical and simulation based approaches; * Support comprehensive testing and validation of the designed circuits with high end laboratory equipment (VNA, PNA, TDR, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Oscilloscopes, etc.); * Collaborate with the team to seamlessly integrate everything into the system architecture.
â Must-Have
* Experience in FPGA  and CPLD  digital electronics programming , with practical knowledge in real time, parallel signal processing and high speed pipelines implementation. * Experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design including High Speed  components, microcontrollers  and FPGAs , with particular focus on concepts as Signal and Power Integrity , Power Delivery Networks,  and distributed circuits simulations and testing. * Fluency in English  (written and spoken). * Confident in reading academic papers, application notes, datasheets, and to implement and verify their methods.
đ Nice-to-Have
* Experience with microwave and radio-frequency (RF) electromagnetic simulation tools  such as Ansys HFSS, Sim4Life, Keysight Pathwave, ADS, etc. * Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave circuit design , laboratory testing for EMI, EMC and for Anechoic Chamber characterisation. * Practical experience  with Vector Network Analysers (VNA), Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers (SA) and their working and operational principles. * General familiarity with the AI model development cycle (including data collection, annotation, hyper-parameter tuning, evaluation, deployment). * Experience with fast prototyping or making projects with Arduino, Raspberry, etc. * Experience in working with and developing digital acquisition systems (DAQ). * Understanding of AI inference hardware requirements & limitations on FPGAs. * Understanding of Python, and basic understanding of PyTorch Lightning, Optuna, MLFlow, Ray, C++.
